Taekwondo Classes

Han Mu Do Classes
Han Mu Do is Korean for The Korean Martial Art Way. This type of martial art focuses heavily on balance. It was founded by Grandmaster He-Young Kimm. Han Mu Do incorporates other forms of martial arts including hapkido and taekwondo.
This fighting style is a balanced system that is designed to be versatile versus other combat strategies. Han Mu Do is defensive in nature, and its techniques encourage fluid and gentle movement that is meant to immobilize the opponent.
Training in Han Mu Do
Our classes for Han Mu Do teach three main defensive principles. These principles can be employed to counter incoming attacks.
See and Asses
When an attack is incoming, see and assess the situation quickly. After assessing the situation, you’ll then know which approach to take.
Stop The Attack
You will learn various soft and hard blocks as initial defenses against incoming attacks. Our lessons will result in you being able to evade an attack, escape the attack, or escalate your defense.
Solve The Situation
The defense against an attack will depend on the intensity you’ll have to employ. There are several ways an attack can be resolved. You may escape the attack. You could exert control via joint-locks. In the case of significant danger, you could resort to striking, kicking, throws, joint-locks, or even weapons.
There are 12 levels in Han Mu Do. You’ll have to take a test in order to advance in rank. Tiger-Rock offers one Han Mu Do class per week. The classes are open to anyone from age 16 and older.
